Description

A UDF file is a disk image saved in the Universal Disk Format (UDF), a standard developed by the Optical Storage Technology Association (OSTA). It is a universal format that defines how files are stored on optical media. UDF supports rewritable discs and allows files to be moved or deleted even after they have been written to the disc.

Important: Many other disk image formats also use the UDF file system, but are saved in an alternate format and therefore have a different file extension.
