Minecraft NBS files (also called Note Block Songs) contain music that can be played within Minecraft. They are similar to .MIDI files and may be created and edited using Minecraft Note Block Studio. Each NBS file begins with a header that provides information about the file (such as the author, song length, tempo, etc). The header is followed by note blocks, which define the instruments and the melody. NBS files may also contain optional layers and custom instruments that are referenced within the song.
Minecraft Note Block Studio is a music editor designed for creating songs from Minecraft "note blocks." Songs can be created from scratch or converted from MIDI files. Completed songs may be played within Minecraft or exported as standard MIDI files. |
