Pwn

Pwn is a slang term commonly used by online gamers to say that a player was "owned," which means that the player was soundly defeated. It is most commonly pronounced "pown" (own with a "p" in front) but may also be pronounced "poon."

Pwn is a leetspeak word that grew popular on the Internet and eventually in real-life vocabulary in the mid-2000s. It is intended as an insult or burn to humiliate the gamer that was defeated.
