What are bullets and when do you use them?

Answer: In the computer world, "bullets" are much safer than bullets flying around in the real world. Bullets are used when making a list, often called a "bulleted list." An example of a bulleted list would be:

  • First Point
  • Second Point
  • Third Point
  • Fourth Point

Bulleted lists are often used in making outlines or other lists such as a recipe or a list of product features. Most word processing programs, like Microsoft Word and AppleWorks, have the option of creating a bulleted list.
