What is a tree pane and a content pane?

Answer: First of all, a pane is simply a window within a window. For example, when you see a window with different sections, each section is referred to as a pane. A content pane shows the main content of the window. A tree pane, or content tree pane usually shows a list of what can be displayed in the content pane.
