The EnergyPlus Weather (EPW) format is a standard weather data format used by EnergyPlus and other compatible programs. It contains weather information for a specific location.
EnergyPlus is developed by the U.S. Department of Energy and can be used for modeling heating, cooling, lighting, ventilation, and other energy flows. It may also be used to track water usage. It is based on the earlier programs BLAST and DOE-2 and has additional capabilities.
