The Microsoft Document Imaging format is a file format used by Microsoft Office to store images in a page layout format. It is based on the Tagged Image File Format (.TIFF) and supports optical character recognition (OCR). Microsoft Document Imaging is a feature of Microsoft Office 2003 and later. It is supported by the programs Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

It is available in several versions, but each includes Word (a word processor), PowerPoint (a presentation program), and Excel (a spreadsheet application). Different versions may also include OneNote, Outlook, Access, Publisher, Groove, and InfoPath. Office is available for both Windows and Macintosh systems.
