A PPT file is a PowerPoint presentation created with PowerPoint 2003 or earlier for Windows or PowerPoint 2004 or earlier for the Macintosh. It contains slides with text, images, and other media that can be played back as a slideshow or a presentation. IMPORTANT: PowerPoint 2007 and later saves presentations with the .PPTX extension.
PowerPoint is a widely-used program for creating presentations and slide shows. It includes several master templates, which can be used as a standard theme for each presentation. Users can modify aspects of the template design or may alter individual slides if needed. Slide layouts can also be built from scratch if needed. PowerPoint is commonly used to create business presentations, but is also a useful tool for creating lecture notes and personal slide shows. |
