Text Using Two Hands
June 2015 — Tip of the Month
Sometimes when you're texting someone, you only have one hand free. Maybe you're holding groceries, opening a door, or carrying a bag with your other hand. If that's the case, you're stuck typing text messages with one hand. In all other cases, you should use two hands.
Many of us have become so accustomed multitasking while we text, that one-handed texting has become the norm. However, it's significantly slower and less efficient than using two hands. A friend of mine recently pointed out that I was always using one hand to text. I listened to his advice and forced myself to type text messages using two hands (or thumbs) whenever possible. My texting speed has increased almost 100%.
If you've developed a habit of texting with one hand, make an effort to use two hands for the next few weeks. You might be surprised how much time it saves.
