A PPS file is a slide show or presentation created with PowerPoint. It contains a series of slides that may include both text and images. Unlike .PPT files, PPS files cannot be edited. IMPORTANT: Microsoft PowerPoint 2007 and later saves slide shows with a .PPSX file extension.
PowerPoint is a widely-used program for creating presentations and slide shows. It includes several master templates, which can be used as a standard theme for each presentation.
