| Description |
The third segment of a CD or DVD disc image copied by Alcohol 120% software; part of a sequence of disc image segments (each part ends in .MD0, .MD1, then MD2, etc.); must be joined with the other segments to retrieve the complete disc image.
MD2 files are often saved with a .MDF file or a .MDS file, which defines the tracks and data structure used by the disc.
