A TTC file contains a collection of TrueType (.TTF) fonts. It may be used to combine fonts that share common glyphs or to transfer multiple fonts in a single file.

Since TTC files contain standard TrueType fonts, they can be viewed in several different font viewing programs. However, in order to be used by applications, TTC files must be stored in the system Fonts folder.
