HDM files are similar to .HTM files, but are written in the Handheld Device Markup Language (HDML); they are used for creating Web pages for portable electronic devices, such as smartphones. HDM files are rather uncommon since they have been mostly replaced by .WML files.

HDML files typically use the .HDML extension.
