Description

A JNP file is identical to a .JNLP file, but with a shorter three-letter extension. JNP files contain instructions written for the Java Network Launching Protocol (JNLP). They typically include a remote address of the Java program (.JAR file) and the name of the class to be run. The actual program or applet may require that the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) is installed in order to run. JNP files are saved in an .XML format, which means you can view and edit the contents of the file with a text editor.
