| Description |
VND files are created with TypeEdit or CATIA with the Type3 add-on. They contain designs that can be used for engraving and machining purposes.
Both TypeEdit and the Type3 add-on are developed by Vision Numeric. TypeEdit is an artistic program dedicated to mechanical machining and Type3 is an engraving add-on for CATIA.
 About Vision Numeric Type3
Type3 is a collection of artistic CAD/CAM software programs that are used for sculpting, cutting, and texturing purposes. Designs and fonts created with Type3 software can be engraved onto various surfaces using the appropriate machining equipment.
The four primary Type3 programs include TypeEdit (for CNC machines), LaserType (for laser machine), 3DESIGN (for CAD design), and Type3 CAAV5 Based (for CATIA software).
